As the world struggles with the COVID-19 crisis, I wanted to take a quick moment to share what OmniUpdate + Destiny Solutions is doing for our employees, for our community, and for you, our customers.
1. Protecting Our Team: Starting on March 16, we cancelled all business travel and transitioned our entire workforce to a work-from-home basis. As you might imagine, this is a major shift for us. We have traditionally worked together onsite in our Camarillo and Toronto offices and it is a tribute to our employees that they have embraced this change with such a positive spirit. This week we conducted a company survey and found that nearly all employees reported equal, and in some cases even an increase in, productivity. But I know this change was difficult for many, and I am proud of our entire team for working through the transition.
2. Protecting the Community: We postponed OUTC20 and GROW!, our annual conferences, which were due to bring together over 350 customers and employees for several days. This was a painful decision because our customers and employees really value the time we spend together and, frankly, OUTC is my favorite week of the year. But it was obviously the right thing to do. These events will now be held together as one conference from August 31-September 4, 2020, in Universal City, CA. I hope you can make it.
3. Supporting Our Customers: We know this is a difficult time for higher education in general and our customers in particular. We want you to know we are here to support you in any way we can. Our Support team is fully staffed and ready to help you leverage the full power of your website as you coordinate your own COVID-19 response planning. Please reach out to your Account Manager or our Support team if there is anything at all we can do to help.
