About OU Campus

OU Campus is a content management system (CMS) that makes it easy to edit website pages without having to edit complicated code (although it can do that, too). It loads in your web browser; as long as you have an internet connection and a site that's been integrated with OU Campus, you can use it.

OU Campus stores all of your pages as files in its file system. Other resource files handle the design and visual appearance of the website. This separation of content (pages) and design (design files) simplifies the editing experience.

Pages then get published to the live website so the world can see your work. User levels and access restrictions control who can edit and publish what content. New pages and sections are created using templates that automatically apply designs to the new files.

Other tools are available for creating reusable content, running reports, and more. OU Campus is a feature-rich product with the capability to build a great many things in your website.

OU Campus is hosted on either our servers or one you run. It is server-agnostic and functions in both Windows and Linux environments. All server-side languages (PHP, ASPX, ColdFusion, etc) are supported by the CMS, and files built within the system use XML and XSL to transform content from our PCF file extension into HTML on the live website.
