Page Products Report

Overview

The Page Products report can be useful for determining the dependency tags associated with specific content and the number of subscribers to a specific piece of content. Before deleting pages, reviewing the Page Products report can help anticipate the advent of broken links that would occur as a result of deletion.

The following options are available for Products reports:

  • Select All
  • Dependency Tag (auto-selected and required): Shows the dependency tag for content within the site. This in the format of {{f:xxxx}}. Clicking on a dependency tag will open the Dependency Tag Subscribers Report, which lists any files that link to that dependency tag.
  • Path: The report can be delimited by specifying a directory with the Starts With field. All subdirectories are also included.
  • Filename: Shows the filename of the product.
  • Access: Shows the group that has been assigned as the access group for the content.
  • Bypass Approval: Shows the group that has the ability to publish the product without an approver.
  • Approver: Shows the approver assigned to each product.
  • Date Saved: Shows the date and time the page product was last saved. A date range can be selected.
  • Last Save User: Shows the user that last saved the page product.
  • Total Publishes: Shows the number times a product has been published.
  • Last Publish Date: Shows the date and time the product was last published. A date range can be selected.
  • Last Publish User: Shows the last user to publish the page product. A date range can be selected.
  • Last Publish Revision: Shows the number of the last revision that was published.
  • Last Publish Target: Shows to which publish target the product was last published, if Multi-Target Publish is enabled. If Multi-Target Publish is enabled, and Last Publish Target is checked, then Revision Target, Last Target Publish Date and Last Target Publish Revision are also available.
  • Revision Target: Allows users to view report results from a given publish target. All publish targets on the site are available in the drop-down menu.
  • Last Target Publish Date: Shows the date the product was last published. If a particular publish target has been selected in the Revision Target option, this column will show the last time the product was published on that particular publish target.
  • Last Target Publish Revision: Shows the number of the last revision that was published. If a particular publish target has been selected in the Revision Target option, this column will show the number of the last revision that was published on that particular publish target.
  • Subscribers: Shows the number of pages that have subscribed to the page product (i.e., are dependent upon it).

Tips for the Path Field

Users can take advantage of advanced syntax to narrow their search using the Product Path field. Aside from entering the path beginning with the root of the site, users can:

  • Use "%" as a wildcard: the % symbol can be used as a wildcard, acting as a substitute for any string of text. For example, entering /%.png in Product Path will find all PNG files on the production server; entering /%/images/ will find all files within an images folder on the proiduction server.
  • Use "_" as a single-character wildcard: using _ can act as a substitute for a single character in the filename. To find files or directories with an underscore in the path, use \ to escape the underscore from its normal use as a wildcard. For example, to search for files in /_resources, enter /\_resources/ in the Product Path field.
