Custom Reports
Contents
There will be times that, as an administrator, you may need to view a report of certain variables within your account in OmniUpdate. OmniUpdate’s Custom Reports feature will compile for you all the information you could need in one of these reports. For example, suppose you would like a report of all the users and what dates they made edits to the site. That information is instantly available to administrators. The Custom Reports screen provides administrators the ability to create detailed reports and the ability to export that data.
Launch Custom Reports
In order to access the Custom Reports feature of OmniUpdate, administrators (level 9+) must first go to the Admin tab and then select the Custom Reports tab in the second row of tabbed items.
Configure Report
To configure a report, simply select one of the report types from the drop down list shown below. The drop-down list allows you to select from 5 different report types. Those types are Users, Directories, Pages, Sites, or Groups. For example, if you select Pages you will see all the possible categories for that particular report.
Possible Categories
On the Configure Report screen you may choose what type of data you would like in your report. You may individually select certain items from the list to make a custom report or you may opt to select all the categories. To select all the categories at once, simply click the Select All checkbox at the top of the list.
Date Range Format
When inputting date ranges it is very important to keep in mind that the dates MUST be in this format: MM/DD/YYYY. The following is an example of how the date range data should be entered.
Start Date: 1/1/2009
End Date: 5/1/2009
Date Range Results Are Added
This feature provides administrators the ability to receive a report consisting of two date ranges. Below you’ll see two sets of input fields –one set for the Date Created range and the other for Last Login Date range. Keep in mind the results will be added together as shown in the example below:
Note: In the image above, the data in the Date Created column is from 2008, whereas the data in the Last Edit column is from 2009.

Reverse Column Order
To reverse the order in any column click the small black arrow located next to the column header. This feature will allow you to sort the data in reverse order either by date or alphabetically.
