When a template is updated, why does a page previously created by that template not get updated to use the new style of the updated template?

When you make a change to a template, it is not recursive. So in other words, the only time you will see the change is in the future when you create new pages using the template. To avoid this issue, you can have content utilizing XML/XSL, the use of which OmniUpdate fully supports. We strongly urge all of our clients considering different content repurposing methods to look into XML/XSL. Using XML/XSL allows you to update one style sheet that automatically updates previously created pages as well as new page templates.
